World number four Novak Djokovic has reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon with a 6-2 6-4 6-1 victory over Israeli Dudi Sela.
Djokovic has barely been mentioned as a possible contender for the title with Andy Murray and Roger Federer taking the spotlight, but the Serb remained on course for a semi-final encounter with the great Swiss.
It was a dominant display from Djokovic today as he outclassed Sela. The former Australian Open champion broke Sela twice in the first set to take it 6-2. He only needed one break in the second and broke his opponent three more times in the third to wrap-up the win.
Djokovic will now play Tommy Haas in the next round after the veteran German beat Igor Andreev 7-6 (10-8) 6-4 6-4.
Elsewhere, Andy Roddick was close to his best as he disposed of Tomas Berdych in straight sets 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 6-3. The American will now face his old nemesis Lleyton Hewitt in the next round.
Former French Open champion and clay court specialist Juan Carlos Ferrero continued to surprise on the grass as he reached the quarter-finals. Ferrero was a surprisingly comfortable winner against Frenchman Giles Simon 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 6-2.
Big-serving Ivo Karlovic set up a quarter-final clash against Federer as he smashed down 35 aces on his way to a 7-6 (7/5) 6-7 (4/7) 6-3 7-6 (11/9) win over Fernando Verdasco.
