An illegal immigrant has been discovered inside Sandhurst military academy after apparently stowing away on a coach from Germany.
The man, believed to be from Afghanistan, hid in a stairwell by the coach's toilet during the trip from a German airbase to Britain, the Sun newspaper reports.
He was then discovered upon arrival at Sandhurst. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) confirmed the man has now been arrested and handed over to the UK Border Agency.
In a statement, a spokeswoman from the MoD said: "We can confirm that an individual was discovered aboard a coach within the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst having stowed onboard during the coach's transit from Germany.
"The coach was provided and driven by a civilian contractor who has responsibility for the security of their vehicle.
"Security officers in all army establishments have been informed and reminded of security procedures to reduce the risk of a further incident of this nature."
Sandhurst academy is the country's leading training school for military personnel and both Princes William and Harry have attended in recent years.
