Barcelona playmaker Deco has said that a move to the Catalan giants makes perfect sense for Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 22-year-old's future has been the subject of frenzied speculation over recent weeks with rumours linking him to La Liga powerhouses Barcelona and Real Madrid.
"I would love it if he came to play at Barca. I believe it is the ideal club for him," Deco told Spanish radio station Radio Marca.
"There are big clubs interested in Cristiano Ronaldo but I personally believe that Barca would be better than Madrid because of the team's form [and] the city is an ideal place to live."
Deco is not the first of Ronaldo's Portuguese international team-mates to suggest that a deal to end the midfielder's time in the Premiership is as good as done.
Hugo Viana, an expensive flop during his own spell in England with Newcastle, believes that no matter what the Old Trafford hierarchy attempt in order to tie down the player, a switch to Spain is unavoidable.
"He will not be at United for much longer. It is complicated for them to keep him now. Ronaldo has worked hard and, within a little time, he will be with another team more important than United," he said.
"We told him that his name has been linked to Spain. He's very modest but, in every way, we know he would like to come."
