Wolves midfielder David Jones admitted that despite his sides impressive draw at Aston Villa, they were disappointed only to earn a point after conceding a late goal.
Wolves hit back from an early John Carew goal to take a half-time lead, but a second goal from Carew ten minutes from time gave Villa a share of the spoils, and despite the vast difference in their Premier League performances this season, Jones couldn't hide his disappointment at the final whistle.
Jones said: "On reflection, we are coming off the pitch disappointed because we played really well.
"We are happy to pick up another point as they all count at this stage of the season, but it could, and perhaps should, have been three."
Jones played a key part in both of Wolves' goals and despite not netting the second, he was just happy for his side to score.
"The first one from the free-kick was good because it was something we had worked on in training.
"We were patient in our build-up for the second goal and it was a very good move.
"I could have put it in, but thankfully, James Milner did, and all that matter's is that we scored."
The playmaker - who missed the first half of the season through injury - revealed that manager Mick McCarthy expected an onslaught from Villa in the second half but they were still disappointed to concede the late equalising goal.
"We all knew they would come on strong because they are a good side, but it was a poor goal to concede so near the end, and we are all disappointed not to win," he added.
