Celebrity Big Brother 7 contestants Dane Bowers and Alex Reid have laughed off tabloid claims they had a violent altercation on new year's eve.
The pair have both been romantically involved with Katie Price and were said to gave come to blows at a new year's party at the glamour model's house.
But after both were revealed as contestants on the seventh and final series of Celebrity Big Brother, they have denied media reports of a scuffle.
"Round two", cage-fighter Alex laughed as he gave Dane a hug when the Another Level singer entered the Celebrity Big Brother house on Sunday night.
And after other housemates noted a bruise on Dane's head, the Freak Me singer replied: "I had a scrap, but not with him", pointing at Alex.
"Unfortunately, we get on," Dane added.
Actor Stephen Baldwin, one of Dane and Alex's fellow contestants on Celebrity Big Brother, expressed relief at the pair's friendship, saying: "I had plans to straighten both of you out right here tonight".
Speaking in the diary room later, Dane said of the new year's 'fight': "There was an incident that happened between a few people that were being silly. I don't know why I got involved... to try and help out.
"I don't think it's worth getting into that exactly. Just because Alex and I were in the same vicinity, Alex's name was brought into it as well and suddenly it turned into me and Alex fighting."
