Crystal Palace say they would be "delighted" to discuss a takeover with P Diddy after the hip-hop star expressed an interest in buying the administration-hit club.
Diddy, real name Sean Combs, was in London earlier this year to examine potential clubs to buy, and his spokesman confirmed Palace were now top of the list.
The Eagles' administrator Brendan Guilfoyle, a self-professed hip-hop fan, said the club was taking Diddy's interest seriously.
"I would willingly fly to New York to meet him to discuss a purchase," Guilfoyle said.
"I would be delighted if P Diddy wanted to buy Crystal Palace. I would welcome the opportunity to speak to him. Hopefully, he will be in contact shortly."
Palace had been chasing a playoff place in the Championship before being hit by a ten point deduction when they entered administration, with the club now facing a relegation dogfight.
A mischievous message on the Palace club website yesterday entitled "P Diddy - Crystal Palace FC can confirm..." frustrated fans after it turned out to be confirmation that the artist's album had been added to a fan sponsorship scheme's prize fund.
