The UK's new supreme court will hear its first case today.
A panel of seven justices will hear an appeal in which five suspects are challenging financial orders freezing their bank accounts.
The men are suspected of financing terrorism. However, they claim the measures taken by the Treasury to block their finances represent a breach of their human rights.
The supreme court took over from the Law Lords as the final court of appeal in the UK last week.
The actions taken by the Treasury remain controversial as the power to freeze-assets has never been formally approved by Parliament.
The five men, who have not been convicted, are currently living on basic expenses for which they have to apply to the Treasury for.
The hearing is expected to last four days.
