A 19-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager, shot dead in south-east London.
Ryan Bravo, 18, is said to have been an "innocent bystander" when he was shot at a Costcutter shop in Camberwell Road, Southwark, on Wednesday.
Ashley Bucknor appeared at Camberwell Green magistrates' court this morning charged with his murder.
He has been remanded in custody until a hearing at the Old Bailey on November 17th.
Ryan is the 22nd teenager to be shot or stabbed to death in the capital this year.
His mother Elfrida Kiffin has paid tribute to him describing him as a "decent, hardworking young man and loving son".
"This is an extremely difficult time for all of us that knew and loved Ryan and I would ask that we are given the time and space to grieve in private," she added.
"I would urge anyone that knows or saw anything to come forward and assist officers from Operation Trident in their ongoing efforts to trace witnesses to this cold-blooded and reckless act."
Police believe Ryan innocently entered the shop on Wednesday night but was quickly followed by a group who fired a number of shots before making off on mopeds.
A subsequent post-mortem found he died from a single bullet wound to the back.
Anyone with any information relating to the incident is asked to contact the police on 020 8247 4554.
