Police are searching for a male youth who attacked and killed a 16-year-old in south-east London yesterday.

Jimmy Mizen was in the Three Cooks Bakery in Burnt Ash Hill when the suspect came into the shop just before 11:50 BST.

Reports claim the youth became angry when asked to leave and attacked Jimmy after he intervened.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Metropolitan police have urged anyone with information to contact them or Crimestoppers.

Detective chief inspector Cliff Lyons said: "This is another tragic incident where a young victim has lost his life, and our sympathies are with his family and friends.

"The suspect made off from the scene up Burnt Ash Hill towards Burnt Ash Lane.

"I would urge anyone who was in and around the Burnt Ash Hill area at the time of the incident to call us at our incident room with any information they may have."
