Police have said they are hoping to find the hands belonging to a human torso found in a ditch in Hertfordshire on Saturday.
The torso was found in Gore Lane, in East Herts, on April 11th and a subsequent post-mortem confirmed the torso as belonging to a man, with the right arm and upper left arm attached.
A statement from Leicestershire constabulary declared the discovery was linked to the ongoing joint murder investigation with Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire crime units, following the discovery of other body parts in Hertfordshire and Leicestershire in recent weeks.
Body parts, including a severed human head, have been found in the counties over the last few days and weeks.
A statement released today said the hands are now the only parts of the body police believe as still missing.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the investigation.
