West Yorkshire police have received over 500 calls from the public relating to the disappearance of nine-year-old Shannon Matthews.
Shannon went missing over a week ago after she failed to return home from Westmoor junior school.
Yesterday officers stopped and spoke to around 1,500 motorists in the Dewsbury Moor area as the search for the missing nine-year-old continues.
Over 2,000 houses are also being visited as part of the investigation, including a house on Moorside Road belonging to Neil Hyett, Shannon's uncle.
Police released new photos of Shannon on Tuesday, including a picture of the bus that she had travelled on the day she went missing.
Detective Superintendent Andy Brennan called for anyone who had seen anything out of the ordinary near the Dewsbury Town Centre Swimming Baths, where Shannon was last seen on CCTV footage, or the Westmoor Junior School, to come forward.
"Did you see anybody in the area who may have looked out of place or you may have not seen previously?" Mr Brennan asked at a news conference.
"Similarly, did you see any vehicles in the area that you havent seen previously or looked out of place?
"Additionally, can you think back to last Tuesday and the days that followed. Do you have a family member, partner, close associate or neighbour who appears to have been behaving out of the ordinary or you now think was unusual?"
"What concerns me greatly is that Shannon as a vulnerable nine-year-old girl may have fallen into the wrong hands," Mr Brennan added.
Police are asking anyone with any information to contact them on 01274 373737.
