The teenager believed to have received fatal injuries from a pair of nunchuks at a party on Saturday morning has been named by police.
Ricky Butler, 15, of Leith View Road, Horsham, Sussex, died on Saturday evening after receiving life-threatening injuries at a party in Gorringes Brook, Horsham, at around 02:00 GMT yesterday.
Another local boy also received head injuries in the incident and required treatment in hospital. He has now been discharged, however.
Police are now hunting for the murder weapon, believed to be a pair of martial arts weapons known as nunchuks. Letters have been dispatched to local residents and officers investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses.
Detective Chief Inspector Adam Hibbert of Sussex police's major crime branch said: "This was a very serious incident involving a small number of people who had been at a party. It is believed that those involved were also known to each other.
"We would ask anyone who attended the party or who has information about this incident to contact officers at the Horsham police station incident room."
One man, an 18-year-old, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and assault.
