A house fire in Omagh, County Tyrone, which is feared to have killed a family of seven is being treated as murder, police have confirmed.
The police service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said they had uncovered a "significant quantity" of accelerant at the address in Lammy Crescent, Brookmount.
"We have now moved to the position where we are saying this is a crime scene and we have commenced a murder investigation," said Detective Chief Superintendent Norman Baxter.
Firefighters had been called to the blaze at the estate at 04:55 GMT on Tuesday.
A fire service spokesperson explained that the two-storey building had sustained structural damage and that rescue crews were still searching through the debris.
Five bodies have so far been found in the wreckage with two younger members of the family unaccounted for.
DCS Baxter added: "This is one of the most tragic and devastating murder inquiries the PSNI has to date had to encounter."
