Shannon Matthews' mother Karen still in police custody
Detectives investigating the disappearance of Shannon Matthews are still questioning the nine-year-old's mother.
West Yorkshire police arrested Karen Matthews, 32, on Sunday on the suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
On Tuesday they were granted a further 24 hours to question Ms Matthews.
Her arrest came after 39-year-old Michael Donovan, who has been charged with kidnapping Shannon, was treated in hospital after "serious self harm".
He is now back in Leeds prison awaiting trial.
Shannon went missing on February 19th and was found 24 days later at an address less than a mile from her home.
Shannon's stepfather Craig Meehan also faces trial after being charged with 11 counts of possessing indecent images of children.
The 22-year-old has been remanded in custody until April 11th.
Two women aged 25 and 49 who were arrested by West Yorkshire police on April 4th have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The 25-year old was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and the 49-year old on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
