A man has been charged with attempted murder after shots were fired at two police officers investigating a reported bank robbery on Friday.
Mark Leigh Roberts, 22, of no fixed abode is also charged with robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.
A second man, 41-year-old Andrew Alexander Roberts has been charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm and actual bodily harm after a female police officer received a punch to the face.
Metropolitan police were called to a branch of Allied Irish Bank in Finchley Road, north London, on Friday afternoon after receiving reports that an attempt was being made to steal a security van's safe.
Both men will appear before Brent magistrates court tomorrow.
