A murder inquiry has been launched after two children were found unconscious at their home in Manchester.
Yolande Molehomi, four, and her two-year-old brother Theo were pronounced dead at a hospital a short time after being found at their home in Whalley Road, Whalley Range, at 08:00 BST this morning.
Greater Manchester police said a 37-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
"Inquiries are ongoing," a spokesman added, but detectives have indicated no one else is being sought in connection with the deaths.
According to media reports the arrested man is the father of the children, who are believed to have been strangled to death.
GMP said post-mortems were being carried out on both children.
