27-year-old man admits manslaughter of barrister's clerk following argument in City of London bar last summer
A 27-year-old man has admitted killing a barrister's clerk following an altercation in a City of London bar last summer.

Rick Maynard, of Woodford Green, Essex, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 21-year-old Lee Cook at the Old Bailey.

Earlier, the court had accepted his not guilty plea over the murder of Mr Cook, who lived in Harold Wood, Essex.

Mr Cook died following an incident at Alibi bar in Shoe Lane on July 20th 2007.

Another man, City of London police officer Adam Lowe, had already been acquitted of both the murder and manslaughter of Mr Cook after prosecutors withdrew charges against him.End of story
