A video showing the arrest of two of the six suspects in the court case over the failed July 21st bombings in London has been screened for jurors.
The footage shows Muktar Ibrahim and Ramzi Mohammed emerging from a flat in west London after CS gas had been discharged inside.
The pair emerged in just their underpants, having been told to strip in case they were carrying explosives in their clothes, after a two-and-a-half hour siege of Mr Mohammed's property in Delgarno Gardens on July 29th 2005.
Police officers can be seen surrounding the two men as they exit onto the balcony of the property, although the commanding officer at the scene said the heavy-handed approach was necessary after attempts at negotiating with the pair had met with no response.
The officers were acting on intelligence received about the men – Mr Ibrahim is alleged to be the bomber of the number 26 bus and Mr Mohammed the Oval bomber.
The jury at Woolwich Crown Court today also heard from detective constable Liam McCauley, the arresting officer at the west London property.
Detective constable McCauley testified that Mr Ibrahim told him in the police car: "Listen, I've seen my photo and I was on the bus, but I didn't do anything, I was just on the bus."
Mr Ibrahim added that, because he is a Muslim, he could not tell lies and added: "OK, I did do the bus but I had nothing to do with 7/7."
Yassin Omar, 26, of New Southgate, north London; Hussein Osman, 28, formally of no fixed address; Manfo Kwaku Asiedu, 33, of no fixed address; Adel Yahya, 24, of High Road, Tottenham, north London; Mr Mohammed, 25, of North Kensington, west London; and Mr Ibrahim, 29, of Stoke Newington, north London are charged with conspiracy to murder in regards to the bombings on the London transport network on July 21st 2005.
All six defendants deny the charges. The trial continues.
