Police have arrested four people in connection with the stabbing of sixteen-year-old school boy Ben Kinsella.
The teenager was stabbed to death over the weekend after reportedly being involved in a pub fight in York Way, Holloway, north London.
The four arrested are reported to be in their late teens and are being held in four separate police stations.
The BBC reports one of the youths was arrested on Monday afternoon, two others later that day and one on Tuesday.
It was reported this morning that the 16-year-old wrote of being stabbed in an essay weeks before his death.
In the essay for a creative-writing class, Ben wrote: "I've been stabbed, three times in the chest, twice in the back, once in the gut for good measure.
"The pavement feels so very cold on my so very punctured back. Everything feels cold. Numbness persists. As I stare up at my killer-to-be he feels not the slightest measure of remorse at what he has just committed. Instead his dark smile sickens me in ways I couldn't imagine."
Later the teen talks of being victim to the "monstrosity society has become".
This afternoon hundreds of teenagers gathered at the Islington town hall to protests against knife crime amongst their age group in the capital.
Yesterday, his sister, former EastEnders actress Brooke Kinsella, appealed to knife-carrying teenagers in an emotional press conference.
Ms Kinsella, 24, who played Kelly Taylor in the BBC soap and described her little brother as a "true angel".
"Ben really was one of the kindest, gentlest and talented boys God has ever created," she said at a press conference this afternoon.
"The love and joy he gave to everybody is proven by the vast number of people who have sent their loves and prayers."
Ms Kinsella said her family was determined to ensure the current run of violent deaths in the capital would end with Ben's death. He is the 17th teenager to die as a result of violence in London this year.
"We always knew that Ben would make a truly special mark on this world
hopefully he will be the one who finally puts an end to this," she continued.
"Please boys and girls put down your knives and weapons and think about the pain and suffering this will cause."
