Family mourns child's death in hit and run accident

The parents of 11-year-old Sam Riddall are "absolutely devastated" by the death of their son in a hit and run accident.
Sean was walking home with three friends and an adult man from a local church service when the accident happened on Friday evening in Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol.
A white Ford Focus estate car veered off the road and collided with the group of pedestrians. The three children were unhurt in the accident while the man sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Police have launched an investigation to find the driver of the car who fled from the scene.
Speaking about the incident, a spokesperson for the police said: "The family are absolutely devastated by what has happened and our thoughts are with them at this time."
Police added that they were looking for witnesses to the incident, adding that they were looking into how the car was being driven at the time.
