A father and his two young children found dead in a parked car in North Wales were killed by carbon monoxide fumes, post-mortems have shown.
The bodies of Brian Philcox, 52, his daughter Amy, seven, and son Owen, three, were discovered in a Land Rover parked on an unclassified road near Maenan on Sunday afternoon.
At a press conference on Monday North Wales police revealed Mr Philcox and his children had died after inhaling car exhaust fumes.
The force's Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jones said the three had been reported missing on Saturday night.
He added that the children's mother was being looked after by family liaison officers.
"As the mother of the children who were killed, she is devastated, she has suffered this double loss," DCI Jones told a press conference, according to BBC News.
"She is being looked after by family liaison officers who are giving her comfort and support at this time, and she does have a good network of family and friends around her but obviously this is a tragic loss that she's suffered."
