Anne Darwin, the woman convicted of helping organise a scam with her canoeist husband, is preparing to launch an appeal against her conviction.
The 55-year-old says she is innocent over the scheme, which aimed to win £250,000 in life insurance payments following the disappearance of her husband John Darwin.
She is also saying the six-and-a-half-year prison sentence handed down to her is excessive.
The appeal comes as sons Anthony and Mark Darwin launched angry tirades against their parents in interviews, with Anthony saying: "I hate them both."
Anne Darwin's story has captivated the press since her husband turned up in December 2007 claiming to have amnesia.
