The teen romance between Coronation Street's Craig and Rosie is set to turn into an underage sex romp when they decide to lose their virginity amid fears that the world is about to end.
The 14-year-olds, played by Helen Flanagan, 13, and Richard Fleeshman, 15, belong to a Goth cult that predicts that the end of the world will come on St Patrick's Day.
And the crazy teenagers - both two years under than the legal age of consent - are determined to experience the joys of nookie at least once before the earth is wiped out.
"We're treading on eggshells here, even though the Goth storyline has been played for laughs so far," an insider told the Daily Star.
"Rosie and Craig are at a difficult age and sex is such a massive preoccupation for them both.
"Because they're in the Goth thing, and think the end of the world is on the cards, they reckon they should go to bed together."
The source added that TV bosses were expecting complaints about the storyline, which is due to unfold shortly.
