Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough refused to be drawn on rumours linking him to the vacant managerial posts at Derby County and Nottingham Forest.
Speaking after his Blue Square Premier outfit secured a 2-0 away victory over Mansfield Town to strengthen their lead at the top of the table, Clough played down speculation surrounding his managerial future.
"I have had no contact with either club and I will just get on with doing my job at Burton, as always," the former Forest forward told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"I would rather talk about the ten games we have won on the bounce. I don't want anything to detract from that because it is a remarkable achievement," he continued.
"All my mind is on is our game with York on Thursday," Clough added.
A move to either Forest or Derby would be a historic promotion for Clough, whose father Nigel enjoyed managerial stints at both clubs and won the European Cup on two occasions with Forest.
However, after taking charge of Burton ten years ago, Clough is on the verge of creating history at the club.
Burton lead Histon at the top of the Blue Square Premier by ten points and will be promoted to the Football League for the first time in their history if they hold on to that position come the end of the season.
They were the only team in last season's play-off finals of the Blue Square Premier - also involving Exeter, Torquay and Cambridge - who had never reached the fourth tier of English football in their history.
Clough's side lost out to Cambridge United at the semi-final stage, but Exeter, who beat Torquay in the other play-off fixture, eventually secured promotion to League Two alongside Aldershot.
