Andy Murray continued to improve with every match at Wimbledon as he eased past Victor Troicki 6-2 6-3 6-4.
After a lacklustre win against Robert Kendrick in the first round, Murray improved in his win over Ernests Gulbis and showed further glimpses of why he is one of the favourites to win the tournament with a comfortable win over Troicki.
Troicki came out all guns blazing and looked to overpower Murray. His play looked to be working early on as he thumped a number of big winners to get to 2-3.
The Serb was also going for his serve, including his second serve. It worked in his early service games, but then he hit two double faults and Murray had to do very little to break and take a 4-2 lead.
Murray was content to get the ball back into play in the first set and let Troicki come up with the errors and that is exactly what happened. The British number one broke again the first set as he took it 6-2.
Troicki already looked to have given up as he tamely lost his serve in the second game of the second set and Murray, who was completely untroubled on his serve so far, took a 3-0 lead.
That solitary break was enough for Murray as he waltzed through his service games to take the second set 6-3.
Murray started to open his shoulders a little more in the third set and ran Troicki ragged to break in the opening game. The Scot got to 3-1, but then gave away the first break point on his serve in the match. Murray though came up with another couple of crunching serves to save the game.
The rest of the fourth set was a stroll for Murray as he continued to hit aces 17 in the match as he sealed the win and a fourth round meeting with Stanislas Wawrinka.
