West Ham United have piled the pressure on Mark Hughes after a 1-0 win over Manchester City at Upton Park.
Rising star Jack Collison scored 19 minutes from time to leave City with just one win from their last five league games.
The defeat leaves Hughes' men in 11th place, 14 points off a Uefa Cup spot, while the Hammers climb to seventh.
And City can have few complaints about the defeat after another woeful away performance.
They missed several gilt-edge chances in the first half with Robert Green beating away Robinho's stabbed effort while the Brazilian put the ball wide from six yards out minutes later.
Gianfranco Zola's men nearly punished them with Shay Given producing a fine save to deny Collison.
The home side's hopes of victory took a blow when Valon Behrami was stretchered off with a horrendous-looking knee injury when he caught his studs in the turf.
But despite the injury, the Hammers were on top for the rest of the game with David di Michele and Carlton Cole going close from close range.
And their possession was rewarded on 71 minutes when the impressive Savio had his shot parried by Given, and Collison was quickest to react to lift the ball over the Irishman.
The visitors' best chance fell to Felipe Caicedo, who lashed his shot into the side netting after beating Matthew Upson.
But the Hammers continued to dominate with Scott Parker's ferocious effort deflected inches wide. And they staved off a late flurry from City, with Elano curling a free-kick onto the crossbar, to continue their fine home form.
