Fly-half Danny Cipriani has ended speculation about his playing future by signing a new deal with Guinness Premiership champions Wasps.
The 21-year-old agreed to a new one-season contract at the club, while 12 other players, including Simon Shaw, Tim Payne, Dominic Waldouck and Dave Walder also agreed to stay at the London club.
The news will come as a huge relief to Wasps fans, many of whom expressed fears Cipriani may be tempted by the big money contracts currently being offered by the big French clubs for star players.
In recent weeks three Wasps players moved across the channel, with James Haskell and Tom Palmer agreeing to join Stade Francais and Riki Flutey joining England team-mate Andy Goode at Brive.
Commenting on the players re-signing for the club, Wasps' director of rugby Ian McGeechan, said: "We are delighted with the volume of players committing to the club for next season and for those to come.
"This is a great show of intent from the players and our Board as we see a mixture of experienced and international calibre players combine with up and coming names. All of these play a pivotal role in our campaign both now and in the future and are core to the continuing development of the team and our rugby."
Former player Lawrence Dallaglio, who was recently appointed to the club's board, added: "London Wasps is much more than a just a rugby club to me - it was a workplace, a home, a family and one which I am still very proud to be a part of.
"As we see so many players commit themselves to the cause once more today, it gives me a great sense of pride and satisfaction that we can list names like Shaw, Vickery, Rees, Cipriani and Payne in our squad - players who have shown themselves to be of the highest calibre on the domestic and international stage."
