Danny Cipriani will miss England's Six Nations opener against Italy at Twickenham this weekend after the fly-half was selected in the Saxons squad to take on Ireland A on Friday.
Leicester scrum-half Harry Ellis will also line-up alongside Cipriani for the game in Dublin
"Harry and Danny will spend this week with the Saxons as they prepare to play Ireland A on Friday," England manager Martin Johnson said.
"Both players remain in my plans for the Six Nations, but I would like to see them get some game time with the Saxons.
"Harry benefited from playing with them last week, and I will be in regular contact with Saxons head coach Stuart Lancaster during the course of the week."
Cipriani was dropped for England's final autumn Test against New Zealand and now faces a fight to regain the number 10 shirt from Toby Flood.
Johnson will name his starting XV for the Six Nations opener on Tuesday morning.
