Tottenham have completed the signing of Pascal Chimbonda from Sunderland for an undisclosed fee, just six months after the defender left White Hart Lane for the Wearside club.
The 29-year-old right-back, who moved to the Stadium of Light last summer, didn't complete his move in time to make his debut in tomorrow night's Premier League game against Stoke City
"I've signed him and he's coming here," Redknapp said.
"The deal should have been done in the morning but it's over-run the deadline for him to play against Stoke.
"It was done 15 minutes too late which was disappointing. Otherwise he would have been available."
Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia revealed the player's inability to settle in the north-east was the major factor behind the move.
"He has struggled to settle here and it's an opportunity for him to start playing first-team football," Sbragia continued.
"I thought he was outstanding on Saturday but he has struggled personally.
Chimbonda, who was originally sold by former Spurs boss Juande Ramos, has made 16 appearances for the Black Cats this season.
While Chimbonda and Cudicini have arrived at White Hart Lane, midfielder Hossam Ghaly has departed to Saudi Arabian side Nassr Saudi Club.
