West Ham have completed the signing of long-term target Luis Jimenez from Italian champions Inter Milan.
The Hammers were first linked with the Chilean international last summer and have finally tied up the deal which will see Jimenez move to Upton Park on a season long loan on July 1st, when he will also have a medical.
West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola will also have the option to sign the 25-year-old on a permanent contract next summer.
"I am very happy, very excited and very determined to show what I can do," Jimenez told the official website.
"I know West Ham are a fantastic club who have a lot of great players. I had options to join other clubs but I watched West Ham's last game of the season and I liked it a lot.
"I preferred this option because I really admire the way they try to play. Gianfranco Zola was one of the things that drew me to West Ham - I can identify with the type of football he wants to play."
West Ham were linked with making a double swoop for Jimenez and his Inter team-mate Mancini, but their interest in the Brazilian winger seems to have cooled with technical director Ginaluca Nani not revealing if the club were still interested in Mancini.
