Honda's Jenson Button has said that he sees no end to his team's lack of competitiveness.
The British driver had high hopes at the beginning of the season but the team has struggled to keep up with the likes of Renault, Ferrari and McLaren in recent races.
Button admits it has been frustrating and he is finding it difficult to see any light at the end of the tunnel.
"I don't know how long it's going to take so we've just got to make the most out of what we've got," Button said.
"I don't know if we'll have the same situation (at the next race) but I want it to get better and it's not going to move us forward if we are not motivated."
Button just missed out on the points yesterday at the Canadian grand prix, finishing ninth, and he is hoping for something better this weekend at the United States grand prix at Indianapolis.
The Briton said the team is looking for that extra edge at the race and himself and teammate Rubens Barrichello will do all they can to help that process.
"We'll look over the reasons for it (the performance in Canada) and hopefully solve some of them for Indy next weekend," Button added.
"It's not an aerodynamic issue. It's something we need to resolve as soon as possible because it is costing us massively."
Button remains seventh in the drivers' championship on 16 points, ten points behind McLaren's Juan Pablo Montoya.
