An unstoppable volley deep into injury time from Kevin Nolan helped Bolton Wanderers rescue a 1-1 draw in their away fixture to West Ham United.
Bolton had been seeking to level matters for much of the match after George McCartney's unexpected strike on 20 minutes.
They left it late, but Nolan finally came to the rescue in the 93rd minute with a neat right-footed volley off Lubomir Michalik's accurate header.
The at-times scrappy encounter began well for the Hammers, who established a period of solid pressure before McCartney's goal.
West Ham's defenders struggled to clear the ball from a corner and the Northern Ireland player took full advantage with a volley of his own.
Soon afterwards McCartney saw off a shot from El-Hadji Diouf at the other end of the pitch as the game descended into more scrappy play.
Danny Guthrie, who had attracted attention early on with an aggressive challenge against Lee Bowyer, found one of his shots grazing the upright while Kevin Davies' header flew over the crossbar.
The second half saw West Ham start strongly, with Carlton Cole denied on the break by a good Jussi Jaaskelainen save.
A header from Bolton's Kevin Davies grazed the bar as the away side looked for an equaliser, but it was Nolan who finally won them a point seconds before the final whistle.
