The body of a man whose disappearance sparked a celebrity-backed online campaign has been found.
A statement from the Metropolitan police said officers discovered the body of 30-year-old John Regan in the water near West Quay in Camden, north London, at around 00:30 GMT.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: "Although we await formal identification, we are satisfied that the deceased is 30-year-old John Regan of Chalcott Road, who had previously been reported missing to police."
His next of kin have been informed.
Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem would take place shortly.
Mr Regan went missing shortly after returning from a holiday in Miami on November 18th.
He was later caught on CCTV footage at 01:30 GMT walking through Camden Stables Market.
His disappearance sparked an online campaign for information with comics David Mitchell and Bill Bailey lending their support.
