Newly-promoted Premier League side Birmingham City have agreed a deal to sign England under-21 international goalkeeper Joe Hart on a season-long loan.
The Manchester City player is keen to play regular first-team football, since he has been understudy to Shay Given for the last four months after the Republic of Ireland international signed from Newcastle United in January.
Hart is currently in Sweden with the U21s, who are through to the last-four of the European Championships, and will join up with his new team-mates next month for pre-season training.
The 22-year-old shot-stopper has senior England honours, having made his full international debut as a substitute in a 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago last June.
He becomes Birmingham manager Alex McLeish's fourth signing of the summer as they gear up for their first season back in the English top flight.
