Ian Blackwell scored a brilliant 97 off 73 balls for Somerset but it wasn't enough to prevent defeat at the hands of Yorkshire in the Pro40 Division Two.
Blackwell's innings included seven sixes and seven fours and looked like it may snatch victory from Yorkshire who had set 261 from their 40 overs.
However Richard Pyrah eventually had Blackwell stumped and it was Jacques Rudolph's impressive 127 off 114 balls that in the end won the game for Yorkshire.
In the other county games, in Division One, Gloucestershire beat Warwickshire by three runs after Alex Gidman's 88 had helped them post a total of 212.
