Tim Henman has labelled the French Open a "shambles" and a "circus" after crashing out to Dmitry Tursunov.
Henman lost in four sets but the game was played in two halves after bad light stopped play last night after a rain delay.
The British number three was unhappy with the decisions over the light. He feels that it was too dark to play in the second set which he lost comfortably to the Russian.
Henman blasted the match referee and the umpire after a lack of consistency. He feels that it was much lighter at the start of the third set when the game was postponed than it was at the beginning of the second set.
Henman said: "It was just a shambles. The decision-making was nonexistent. I wanted that sort of quantified - what is good light, what is bad light?
"(The supervisor) said: 'Well, we're playing on all the other courts'. So I said: 'Does that make the light acceptable?' He said: 'We use our experience'."
Henman was furious with the officials but is happy with his form ahead of Wimbledon.
"Sure, I'd like the results to improve, but I just don't really have any doubts that they will improve because I'm playing good tennis," he added.
