Bomb squad experts were called to the Big Brother house yesterday after a suspect package was delivered to one of the contestants.
As the scare over the parcel sent to belly dancer Kemal calmed down, it was revealed that another contestant on the Channel 4 show had been sent death threats.
According to an army source quoted in the Daily Star, security on the site in Hertfordshire has been heightened because of the threat to one of the wannabes' lives.
So when an unidentified package arrived at the house yesterday, army bomb experts were brought in - only to find it actually contained a pair of stiletto shoes sent by a fan.
"We have been very worried about the post here since one of the contestants has had a death threat," the source told a newspaper.
"Thankfully this box only contained a pair of heels for Kemal. But we need to be alert at all times."
A spokeswoman for Channel 4 told the newspaper that none of the housemates - who have no idea of what is going on outside the BB house - were in danger.
