Formula three Euroseries champion Jules Bianchi will complete two-days of running with the Ferrari team at the 'young drivers' test in Jerez in December.
The 20-year old was confirmed as part of Ferrari's driver line-up for the three day test on Thursday.
The Frenchman is scheduled to run in the 2009-spec F60 during the first two days of the test, which begins on December 1st and he said he is excited to be making his debut in a formula one car with Ferrari.
"I am really happy," Bianchi told Autosport.
"It is a very good thing for me to drive an F1 car, and especially a Ferrari, because for me it is the best team in the world.
"I will do my best and just learn, because the most important thing is to learn."
"Of course it is really good. For me to drive the first time in an F1 car, and for it to be a Ferrari, it is just amazing. I cannot say any other words."
On the third day of testing, Ferrari will put the top three drivers in the Italian F3 championship; Daniel Zampieri, Marco Zioli and Pablo Sanchez Lopez, through their paces.
Bianchi feels his two days of running will give him enough time to acclimatise to F1.
"I will be able to go step by step and learn a lot, because it will be really important to make a lot of laps without crashing and without mistakes," said Bianchi.
"It means I can go step by step until the last day when I can push a lot."
And when asked whether he believes his Ferrari test could lead to more opportunities with the Scuderia, he said: "Maybe. Maybe yes, maybe no. It is not sure. First we will do the test and then we will see what will happen."
