Match winner Nicklas Bendtner hailed his important strike as very significant in the title race as Arsenal beat Hull 2-1 in the evening Premier league match at the KC Stadium.
Bendtner scored two minutes into injury time to force a win for the title challengers against ten men Hull. George Boateng had been sent off for the home side after a Jimmy Bullard penalty had cancelled out an early Andrey Arshavin goal.
It was Bendtner's fourth goal in three days and the strike ensured Arsenal remained firmly in the title hunt with favourable fixtures remaining.
The striker commented: "All the goals we score from now will be very important and today's one was even more so, so I am pleased for the team that we won the game.
"The goal felt good as it was so long in coming, everyone was really tense so we pushed forward as much as we could. The pitch overall was really bad."
