David Beckham will not be returning to an English club on loan, the manager of Los Angeles Galaxy has claimed.
The midfielder, who was recalled to the England squad yesterday, has been linked with a move to a Premiership club after the Major League Soccer (MLS) season ends in November.
Everton, Tottenham, and Blackburn, and Newcastle United have all reportedly expressed an interest in signing Beckham on a short-team deal.
But Galaxy boss Frank Yallop said Beckham has come to the United States for a fresh challenge.
"He won't be going on loan anywhere. He'll be taking a break at that point and getting ready for our pre-season," Yallop told Sky Sports.
"He's shown that he's a world class player, he doesn't need to go back and go on loan anywhere."
Newspaper reports claimed Beckham would be free to join a Premiership side in January and play the last five months of the season.
Henrik Larsson joined Manchester United on a three-month loan deal this year to improve his fitness ahead of the Swedish season.
Magpies boss Sam Allardyce has admitted Beckham is on his shopping list having expressed an interest in the Real Madrid star while he was Bolton manager.
" If it is possible to get David Beckham back to St James' Park, we would really go for it," Allardyce told The People newspaper.
"I would love to have him on board."
