Big Brother 9 contestant Mikey has explained he loved the challenge of learning the dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller, despite "negative" attitudes from Rex and Nicole.
The housemates had to copy the iconic dance routine from the 80s hit in order to win a luxury shopping budget and Rex and Nicole believed Mikey's blindness would hamper the group's efforts.
However, the group were successful with Mikey's disability proving less of an obstacle to their success than Nicole's childishness over wearing the supplied outfit.
Speaking to Big Brother after the task, radio producer Mikey admitted he had found the task hard but still enjoyed it, even with Rex and Nicole's scepticism.
"These were the people that were writing me off and going to the Diary Room because it was all too difficult having a blind person dance, but I was having none of it because I was quite capable of learning all the moves if they were shown to me," he commented.
"Everybody's got different attitudes to blindness in the real world and I knew they would here... through all the tasks I've tried my best on all of them."
He added: "I've been here 11 weeks so I don't know why that kind of thinking is still there but obviously it is".
Mikey was not the only housemate to enjoy the dance task, with Darnell saying: "These are the kinds of days that make you not want to leave.
"If every day was like today this would be the best experience ever, of all time, in life."
