Barcelona ensured their qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League after a 2-0 win over Rangers at the Camp Nou.
Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry was fortunate to open the scoring after seven minutes when Lionel Messi's shot came back off the post, cannoned on to the Frenchman's forearm and into the goal.
The Spanish side dominated the game and Walter Smith's men barely threatened to get an equaliser for most of the game.
Barca doubled their lead just before the break. Messi this time getting the goal his performance deserved.
The Argentinean played a one-two with Ronaldinho on the edge of the Rangers box but when Allan McGregor saved the Brazilian's shot his fellow forward was on hand to knock in the rebound.
In the second half Barca continued in the ascendancy but could not find a way past McGregor as Messi and Xavi both went close.
Nacho Novo eventually produced a noteworthy chance for Rangers in the dying minutes but Victor Valdes made good save to keep the Scottish side from scoring.
Elsewhere, Sevilla increased their chances of progressing in the competition with a 2-0 win away to Steaua Bucharest in group H.
Roma kept their hopes alive in group F as a late goal from David Pizarro gave them a 2-2 draw against Sporting Lisbon.
In Rangers' group Lyon beat Stuttgart 4-2 thanks to two goals by Hatem Ben Arfa and one each from Kim Kallstrom and Juninho.
Inter Milan top group G after a 4-2 win over CSKA Moscow while Fenerbahce are just one point behind them following their 2-0 win over PSV Eindhoven.
