Banglas shock Australia

Bangladesh shocked Australia on the opening day of the Test series in Fatullah as Shariar Nafees scored his maiden test century, with the home team piling on 355 runs for the loss of only five wickets.
Nafees' 187-run stand with Habibul Bashar (76), after Javed Omar (27) had made a bright start, represented Bangladesh's highest partnership since they were admitted to the Test scene in 2000.
Many of Australia's bowlers were treated with scant regard as the Bangladeshis scored at six runs per over in the initial stages, a run-rate more reminiscent of a One-Day International.
Shane Warne was treated with particular disdain, taking no wickets for 112 runs off his 20 overs, though Australia's other leg-spinner, Stuart MacGill, managed to snap up three wickets, including the wicket of Nafees on 138.
Later on in the day the Bangladeshis consolidated their position, with Rajin Saleh in particular displaying composure as he scored a gritty 35 not out from 103 balls.
Jason Gillespie, returning to Test cricket after being dropped during last summer's Ashes series against England, performed admirably by snaffling the wickets of Omar and Mohammad Ashraful (29).
This continues Bangladesh's recent run of more-than-creditable performances against Australia, the team rated number one in the world.
Lat summer the Bangladeshis added to the Australians' pre-Ashes headaches by unexpectedly winning a One-Day International against them.
