Manchester City have slipped into the relegation zone after a last-gasp 2-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.
A stoppage time winner from Roman Bednar gave rock-bottom West Brom only their fourth win of the season. Substitute Felipe Caicedo had cancelled out Luke Moore's opener for the Baggies.
City have not won a league game since November 22nd, piling on the pressure on boss Mark Hughes.
Hughes was without Robinho and Jo due to illness while Elano was left out of the squad. And the visitors looked to be missing some Brazilian magic in a dire first-half.
Their best chances fell to Vincent Kompany whose low shot from the edge of the box was comfortably saved by Chris Kirkland, while Shaun-Wright Phillips' deflected strike looped over the bar.
Meanwhile, West Brom's problems in front of goal continued with James Morrison's shot from a tight angle deflected wide while Roman Bednar rattled the post with a curling effort.
City improved after the break with Wright-Phillips' ferocious effort fumbled by Scott Carson.
Morrison continued to be a handful for the home side and he set-up Bednar who failed to find the target with a low shot.
And it was Morrison who helped give the Baggies the lead on 69 minutes when he threaded the ball through to Moore, who slotted his shot under Joe Hart.
West Brom thought they had scored a second minutes later when Craig Beattie tapped in after Hart spilled a cross but the striker was penalised for pushing the keeper.
Against the run of play, City equalised when substitute Caicedo's back heel hit the post and came off Carson before rolling in on 86 minutes.
But three minutes into stoppage time, City hearts were broken when an unmarked Bednar headed in Gianni Zuiverloon's cross to snatch a victory for the Baggies.
