Wigan Athletic will be relieved by the fixtures handed to them for 2007/08 Premiership season.

The Latics' opening Premiership match is away to Everton on August 11th while their first home fixture comes three days later against Middlesbrough.

Their final game of the season is against Manchester United on May 11th, however, meaning they may have to make the most of other run-in games against Reading and Aston Villa if they are involved in a battle for survival.

Wigan's fixtures against the newly-promoted sides could prove crucial and they face Birmingham on October 27th and April 5th; Derby on January 12th and February 23rd; and Sunderland on August 18th and February 9th.
