West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez has joined Manchester United on a two-year loan deal, according to the most recent reports.
Sky Sports News is citing sources close to the player, currently on international duty with Argentina at the Copa America, as saying that the striker has already agreed a deal with the Premiership champions.
The deal will be worth up to £8m over two years, according to the report, and Sir Alex Ferguson will have the option to buy the player outright after his loan period expires in 2009.
Tevez may even be set to undergo his required medical in Venezuela today, when he takes a break from Argentina's training camp in South America.
His international side are currently enjoying a rest period after yesterday's 1-0 win over Paraguay in the final round of group C matches at the Copa America.
With the victory, Argentina qualify for the quarter-finals as group winners and will play Peru in the last-eight. Paraguay face Mexico in what looks to be a much tougher draw.
