The representative of Carlos Tevez, Kia Joorabchian, has criticised the approach of the striker's club West Ham United for "inconsistencies" relating to his proposed transfer to Manchester United.
The Iranian businessman holds a controlling stake in Media Sports Investments (MSI), the group which is heavily involved in the economic rights to the Argentinean forward, and has hit out at the east London club for making 'false promises'.
In a statement released to the press Joorabchian said: "West Ham have consistently provided private assurances while at the same time making contrary statements to the public at large.
"We can no longer allow these inconsistencies to continue unaddressed.
"We wish to make clear that at all times it has been our intention to find an amicable solution and Carlos Tevez has, at no time, acted improperly in relation to his move to Manchester United as he was given permission via his representatives to talk to other clubs to reach an amicable agreement."
The statement continued: "Over the last six months West Ham have made repeated promises and assurances which they have not acted upon or performed. It is now time for these inconsistencies to be brought to an end.
"We see no alternative but to bring the true circumstances to the attention if a higher authority to aid a rapid conclusion to this issue."
The ongoing saga is now set to be dealt with by a special committee of world football's governing body, Fifa, who have been asked to intervene and provide mediation at the behest of the player's representatives, West Ham and Manchester United.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is hopeful that a deal can be settled upon before the beginning of the new Premiership season, and also before the deadline for submitting their registered player list for this season's Champions League campaign.
