Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has insisted they will not be making any big-name signings in the transfer window.
Yesterday's incredible 6-4 win over Reading took Spurs up to 12th in the table, their fourth win in their last five league games.
Former manager Martin Jol spent heavily in the summer including £5 million on full-back Gareth Bale, £7 million on defender Younes Kaboul, and £17 million on striker Darren Bent.
Levy said after discussing transfer targets with boss Juande Ramos and sporting director Damien Comolli, they will not be making any major signings.
"Juande, Damien and I have reviewed the squad and Juande feels that we are not looking at any major changes," Levy said.
"We are all clear that the January window is the worst time to buy quality players so we shall not be doing any business that is not essential."
Strikers Dimitar Berbatov, Jermain Defoe, and Bent have been linked with moves away from White Hart Lane.
Bulgarian Berbatov is reportedly being chased by Manchester United while Defoe and Bent are thought to be unhappy because of a lack of first-team chances.
Levy said none of the strikers would be leaving in the January transfer window.
"Once again for the record, we are not a selling club, rather we are building for the future," Levy added.
"When we have players on long contracts we have no need to entertain offers."
