League One side Bristol Rovers will play Championship high-flyers West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup following the quarter-final draw today.
The Pirates, who knocked out another second-tier side in Southampton in the fifth round at the Memorial Ground, will be playing in their first last-eight tie since the 1950s and will again be the hosts.
Liverpool's conquerors Barnsley, who won 2-1 at Anfield in the shock of the last round, are rewarded with a home tie against another of the 'big four' - Chelsea.
After knocking out another of the favourites in the last round, Arsenal, the bookies' choice for the Cup winners Manchester United have a home tie against Premier League opposition in Portsmouth.
Pompey were lucky to escape from Preston North End's Deepdale with a 1-0 win yesterday after being under pressure for most of the second half.
In-form goalkeeper David James saved a penalty and Darren Carter netted a last-gasp own goal to hand the win to the top-flight side.
The fourth tie of the quarter-finals will see Championship side Cardiff City travel to either Sheffield United or Middlesbrough, depending on the result of their replay at the Riverside next week.
The draw means that at least one club from outside the top division - either Bristol Rovers or West Brom - will contest the semi-finals.
Full FA Cup quarter-final draw:
Sheffield United/Middlesbrough v Cardiff City
Manchester United v Portsmouth
Bristol Rovers v West Bromwich Albion
Barnsley v Chelsea
All ties to be played over the weekend of March 8th/9th.
