Sheffield United have placed eight of their more senior players on the transfer list in preparation for the opening of the transfer window in January.
Manager Neil Warnock is looking to offload some players in order to create some room for the club to manoeuvre in January when it comes to making some new signings.
Paul Ifill, Steven Kabba, Geoff Horsfield, Chris Lucketti, Alan Wright, Neil Shipperley and David Unsworth are all being touted for permanent transfers or loan deals and their names have been circulated to other clubs.
Chinese midfielder Li Tie, who has been struggling with injury throughout the first half of the season, will be made available for loan as he looks to get back to regular football.
"These players are all experienced campaigners and will no doubt be in demand," said Warnock.
"They have all been of assistance to the rise of Sheffield United."
The club have previously announced that they intend to purchase at least one or two new players to aid their push to Premiership safety in the second half of the season and the imminent departure of this group seems to suggest this is more than just conjecture.
